In practice for 15 years, Yung Park, MD, is a compassionate psychiatrist and the founder of Mind Medical, a mental wellness center located in the heart of Manhattan in New York City. Mind Medical is committed to providing inclusive, accessible mental health care through Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and the creative arts as it strives to help each patient cultivate their best self that already exists within.
Dr. Park brings their expertise as a double board-certified physician in internal medicine and psychiatry, having practiced both in the in-hospital setting and as an outpatient clinician. Dr. Park completed a combined internship and residency in internal medicine and psychiatry at the University of Kansas Medical Center. To further her training, they completed a fellowship in psychosomatic medicine and consult-liaison psychiatry at Yale University.
Guiding both Dr. Park’s clinical and personal pursuits is their passion for women’s mental wellness. In addition to their clinical practice, Dr. Park is also a volunteer physician for the non-profit health organizations Physicians for Human Rights and HealthRight International. They assist with writing affidavits for those seeking asylum, specifically women who have undergone female genital mutilation, and other forms of violence and persecution. Dr. Park lends their expertise by providing physical and psychological evaluations for survivors of torture and trauma, and evaluating and documenting evidence of human rights abuses.
Dr. Park has also been an assistant clinical professor for the University of Vermont School of Medicine for six years. They are a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
